Robinson, Inc. was founded by William K. Robinson in 1976. He had worked in land development prior to starting the company as the Industrial Development Director of the Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company (now Duke Energy), beginning in 1946 and grew with the company becoming the northern division manager of CG&E and locating in Middletown in 1954. Bill created one of the first industrial parks in the Greater Cincinnati area, Kenton Lands, in northern Kentucky. His love of land and its development allowed him to work in the private sector, being named vice-president of George Henkle & Associates in 1996. Concentrating on land assemblage and development, Bill helped to create many farm syndicates and opportunities for investors throughout the I-75 and I-71 corridors, many of which have long been developed. He also was the key person in working with Taft Broadcasting with their relocation of Coney Island to the Kings, Ohio area for the land acquisition for King's Island. In 1976, he branched out with his own brokerage firm and again, led the way in land development with the sales of large tracts of land including the sale of 1,094 acres for the Miller Brewing Company's Trenton Brewery. Bill has also developed multiple industrial parks, both as an owner or, as the lead broker. Throughout the Greater Cincinnati area, Bill's love and understanding of land is well marked with various and wonderful developments. Lenny joined his father in 1981 after a career in broadcasting. Learning land from his Bill, he worked to learn the building development and financing aspect of commercial real estate to propel the company to compete in the marketplace. With Bill's retirement in 1985, the younger Robinson took over as president and the commitment to quality development and personal service to their clients remained and continues as a hallmark of the company's success.
