Founded in 1957 by E. Claiborne and Lora M. Robins, Robins Foundation has spent more than six decades investing in the Richmond region's most enduring assets: its children and its community. Vision A Richmond region where every young child is prepared for a bright future and every resident and visitor has access to vibrant spaces and enriching experiences. Our Mission We seek to elevate early childhood care and education and promote a dynamic Richmond community for all to enjoy by listening to and partnering with our community. What We Fund Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) — We invest in children ages 0–5 and their families through two grant programs: SPARK Grants (starting at $25,000) support innovative nonprofit programs in family engagement, high-quality programming, workforce development, and policy advocacy. SEED Grants (up to $25,000) provide timely, flexible support for small ECCE providers. Dynamic Community — We fund vibrant spaces and community-building initiatives that enrich quality of life, foster civic pride, and make the Richmond region a dynamic place to live, work, and play. Capacity Building — We strengthen the operational foundation of nonprofits so they can deepen their mission-driven impact across our region. Our Values: Vision · Excellence · Commitment · Compassion · Joy We serve nonprofits operating in Richmond City, Chesterfield, Henrico, and Petersburg. Learn more or apply at robinsfdn.org.
