The Roaring Fork Valley Wildfire Collaborative is a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to protect our valley from the escalating risks posed by wildfires. We are the sole valley-wide organization dedicated to ensuring that every individual in our region is informed, protected, and prepared for wildfire. With wildfires growing larger, deadlier, and more frequent due to climate change and fire suppression, our valley faces a critical challenge. By coming together in bold collaboration, implementing landscape-scale mitigation efforts, and transforming community mindsets, we can create fire-resilient landscapes and fire-adapted communities. We specialize in prevention, preparedness, and response strategies, leveraging the expertise of a diverse array of stakeholders to plan, fund, and implement critical mitigation projects, shift community mindsets, advocate for policy change, invest in technology and equipment, and build long-term community resilience. Join us in this urgent mission to protect our valley—the stakes couldn't be higher, but together, we can create a wildfire-adapted future.
