RM LAB (2015–2023) – Pioneering Volumetric Video & Immersive Content RM LAB was an experimental R&D initiative within RealMotion Inc., founded by Amit Chachek and Gil Gavish, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of volumetric video processing and immersive content technology. As a pioneering innovation lab, RM LAB developed Uniform Mesh volumetric video processing, a patented breakthrough in virtual redressing and 3D mesh optimization. This technology ensured consistent topology over time, enabling seamless volumetric asset integration in AR and VR applications. RM LAB’s advancements in AI-driven volumetric video adaptation were later acquired, shaping the evolution of next-generation immersive experiences. The lab also led the development of Holo Fighter, the first volumetric video-based AR fighting game, featuring real-time volumetric video manipulation, seamless loops, and dynamic cuts. Recognized for its groundbreaking innovations, RM LAB was awarded an Epic MegaGrant from Epic Games, further validating its contributions to real-time volumetric processing and immersive content creation.
