RLS Method™ Information

RLS™ (Reference Lighting System™) is a simulation and planning platform for experiential lighting and intelligent environments. We believe lighting design should begin with the experience, not the technology. Rather than starting with fixtures, controls, and specifications, RLS focuses on helping designers, integrators, architects, builders, and homeowners understand how a space will feel before it is built. Through simulation, visualization, scene planning, and architectural coordination, RLS makes atmosphere, perception, transitions, and spatial experience visible during the design process. The platform is being developed to bridge the gap between design intent, technical implementation, and homeowner understanding. Current development includes lighting simulation, scene-based design, control visualization, blueprint interaction, intelligent environment planning, documentation workflows, and smart home integration concepts. RLS Method™ is the philosophy behind the platform: start with the desired experience and work backwards to the technology required to create it. Our goal is simple—create better environments before they are built.
