Our train rides for the public are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10am-3pm. The rides are free, but your generous donations help keep the trains running and are greatly appreciated! The railroad at hunter park is 7.5 gauge. Most trains you'll see are 1/8th the size of their prototype. Only live steam engines are allowed to operate. We are the only "steam only" club in the country. We were established in 1966 by a group of local railroad enthusiasts. The purpose of the club was to maintain the city's newly gifted train, train cars, the railroad and to provide rides to the public.
