Radar for water. Flash floods on small streams take infrastructure offline and put people at risk. Regional warnings rarely tell an operator what is coming down the creek above their intake. Riverkin builds River Radar: proprietary AI for flash-flood forecasting in small streams. Our shared model combines local measurements with weather data and learns across catchments. It is designed to use suitable existing sensors. Where measurements are missing, our kit fills the gap, including at remote sites without mobile coverage. Hydropower is our first market. Our goal is warning at a named point, early enough to close an intake or pull a crew from the riverbed. 117 sensors deployed. Paid pilots with three of Switzerland’s largest hydropower utilities. We’re building a live water-data network that grows with every creek we connect. Riverkin is an ETH Zurich spin-off based in Zurich and a graduate of ESA BIC Switzerland.
