RIVERA SANTOS Information

Since 2014, RIVERA SANTOS is an emerging Argentine band that offers original and contemporary music. Inspired by Argentine and South American folk roots, the new songs are at the same time permeable to the influences of rock, funk and pop. Outside of Argentina, the artists have been framed together with proposals from worldmusic, worldbeat, neofolk and indiefolk. Zambas, huaynos or chacareras coexist in the repertoire, with candombe, bailecitos and songs of high urban style. Framed in popular music, each song offers the opportunity to tell a story or give a thoughtful and concrete message. The original melodies, elaborate arrangements and poetry make up a transversal musical proposal that brings us closer to different types of audiences. RIVERA SANTOS has formed as a quintet in 2014. The musicians have recorded and edited the debut album "COMO EL RIO" in 2014 and "REZABAILE" in 2016. They are already in the production stage of the third album with new and unpublished subjects, with launch planned for 2019. RIVERA SANTOS is a powerful emerging music project. They have participated in important festivals, given concerts in theaters and auditoriums, toured Capital Federal and have already consolidated the first international tour in Colombia, a country to which they will return in 2019.
