Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC) is a quasi-public agency created by the Rhode Island General Assembly in 1974. Our mission is to provide safe, environmentally compliant, clean, and cost effective solid waste and recycling services for all Rhode Islanders. We operate the state’s Central Landfill, Materials Recycling Facility, Leaf & Yard Compost Operation, Eco-Depot for household hazardous waste, and Small Vehicle Area for special recycling drop-off. In addition to these services, we provide free technical assistance and educational programs to RI municipalities, schools, community groups, businesses, and institutions.
