Based in Winterthur (Switzerland), the company develops and manufactures machinery, systems and components used to convert natural and man-made fibers and their blends into yarns in the most cost-efficient manner. Rieter has been in business for 230 years, has 18 production locations in ten countries and employs a global workforce of around 4 400, about 15% of whom are based in Switzerland. The company comprises three Divisions: The Machines & Systems Division develops, produces and distributes new equipment as spinning systems or as single machines. The Components Division develops, produces and distributes technology components, precision winding machines as well as solutions for the production of filament yarns and nonwoven fabrics. The After Sales Division develops, produces and distributes spare parts for Rieter machines as well as building conversions and modernizations.
