Ridge Energy Downstream & Distribution Ltd (REDD) an indigenous clean tech entity, is the downstream division of Adamantine Energy Nigeria (AEN). REDD aims at adding value to the environment through the reduction of carbon emissions and establishing a platform for trading and monetizing of carbon credits in Africa. It’s mission is to introduce clean fuels as alternatives to currently used fuels (charcoal, kerosene) and ensure their availability to every household in a perfect blend of technology and accessibility. REDD will help Nigerians migrate from charcoal and kerosene by providing a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable alternative by introducing affordable clean-fuelled cookstoves and a network of support infrastructure. The clean stoves will replace the dirty carbon-emitting cookware & fuels, reduce pollution and provide enormous health benefits helping to avoid the 95,000 deaths annually from respiratory problems caused by dirty fuels. REDD will embark on the development of a modern cooking stove locally manufactured or produced in Nigeria using Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as fuel.
