The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce began back on June 19, 1945 as the Rockingham Chamber of Commerce. In March of 1983, the Hamlet and Rockingham Chambers of Commerce merged to form what is now called the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce. The merger of the two Chambers was seen as a symbol of progress for Richmond County. The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the business community and professional individuals. The Chamber’s most important asset is its members. People who realize that through the Chamber, they can achieve collectively what no one of them can do individually. Joining the Chamber is just the beginning.
