Richcraft Sensplex Information

The Bell Sensplex has established a new standard of excellence for recreation facilities in the Nation's Capital. The facility is the first public-private partnership of its kind and includes four ice-surfaces and an indoor field. The Canadian Tire, Palladium Insurance, Scotiabank and Mattamy Homes Arenas as well as the Argyle Associates Fieldhouse, have played host to thousands of participants since opening our doors. This incredible facility is designed by Edmunds Matthews Architects, an Ottawa based architectural and interior design firm, architects in association with the Morley Hoppner Group and the Ottawa Senators. The Bell Sensplex facility is indicative of their commitment to designing recreational complexes and in particular ice rinks that are versatile, dynamic, and exciting environments for communities. This two-storey, 180,000 sq. ft. facility is delivering an extensive set of programs for amateur hockey, recreational hockey, hockey development, figure skating, ringette, sledge hockey, indoor soccer, ice, and field training. The Bell Sensplex features the following: Palladium Insurance, Mattamy Homes, Scotiabank & Canadian Tire Arenas - The Mattamy Homes Arena is the official olympic size and will cater to any and every international ice sport from figure skating to short track speed skating. It also provides comfortable seating for 1,500 spectators. The other three ice surfaces are all official NHL size. The Canadian Tire Arena will be used as alternate practice facility for the Ottawa Senators for approximately ten practices per year. Argyle Associates Fieldhouse - This unique indoor field provides a venue for everyone to participate in their favorite summer sports year round. Leagues and tournaments for soccer, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee have been delivered or have been planned, while also dedicating time to field training for other sports.
