Richbrook Conservation Information

Richbrook Conservation was founded by Tina Reichenbach in 2001 after many years as a consultant in a "full-service" architectural conservation capacity. As a specialist in the analysis of historic paint finishes, she has been involved in a wide range of architectural paint analysis projects including train stations, Capitol buildings, theaters, churches, commercial buildings, and libraries, as well as historic houses ranging from Colonial to 20th-century, from urban townhouse to country estate. Tina holds a Masters degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and is a Vassar College alumn. She has additional training in coatings microscopy, polarized light microscopy for pigment identification, and conservation photodocumentation. She is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT), the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC), and The Traditional Paint Forum. She has lectured and written on the subject of the technical analysis of historic architectural paint. Richbrook Conservation is based in New York City, central to the architectural treasures of the northeast while facilitating easy access to sites nationwide. By remaining a micro-business in size, Richbrook Conservation can offer personal attention, continuity, and consistent quality throughout a project or across many projects. A network of conservation specialists, colleagues and sub-consultants is available to assist with specialized materials, techniques, or test methods as required.
