Situated in the medina, all the places we wanted to see were in walking distance.Emmanuelle and her staff were so welcoming and so informative. The breakfast was delicious and we had a lovely meal there one evening . It was great to relax by the pool with a beer after the bustle of the souk. Also the roof terrace was an unexpected treat! Plenty of sun loungers and shaded spots.We definitely recommend this as a place to stay and hope to return.We are surprised that a previous visitor was disappointed. This is a 4* Riad not a 4* hotel and certainly deserves this attribute. This is a beautiful old Riad in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech. As with the majority of Riads in the old city it is not much to look at on the outside... This is a beautiful old Riad in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech. As with the majority of Riads in the old city it is not much to look at on the outside but inside is truly a paradise. It is not the newest or the biggest but offers all the amenities one can ask for in the old Medina area. Rooms are nice - nothing spectacular but clean and very functional. Plus it has a nice pool and courtyard to sun by the pool. Breakfast was included and they offered fresh pastries, bread, eggs, fresh fruit and more. In addition you could even order dinner - which we did a couple of nights and the food was typical Moroccan food - tasty and filling. On top of this the staff were over the top in terms of service. We spent a few extra nights here due to the virus lockdown and they went out of their way to take care of us. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a mid range place to stay. Riad Chergui is the best riad not only in Marrakesh but throughout Morocco.
