Rhythm develops products that help people manage their mood, wakefulness, and well-being through light. Our mission is to enable a future where everyone sustainably receives the light they need to feel happy, healthy, and well. Indoor environments are typically 1000x dimmer than outdoor sunlight. In a modern world where 90% of our days are spent indoors, this imbalance disrupts our circadian rhythms, leaving us disoriented, deflated, and even depressed. Just in the U.S. alone, 11 million people suffer from seasonal affective disorder, and 25 million more suffer from winter blues. This number is estimated in the hundreds of millions worldwide. Rhythm’s products help people feel the psychological and physiological benefits of sunlight. We produce 1] light-administering hardware that generates efficient sunlight-level illumination to reproduce the rise and fall of the sun, and 2] light-tracking software that enables healthy light intake through data-driven interventions.
