In 2011, Sersa Group purchased a small regional track maintenance company in Eastern Canada - Total Track. In 2014 Rhomberg and Sersa joined forces to become the international market leading rail engineering and services Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group. Over the last years, building on the Sersa investment, the Canadian operations made some key strategic additions to the existing rail machine fleet, purchasing the first privately owned Plasser RM80 Ballast Cleaner in Canada and bringing the first Moesur specialised urban Grail grinders. These machines have shown dynamic market growth and penetration through the development of our dedicated operators and maintainers. In 2018, we commenced the first on track rail milling machine in North America through our partnership with Linsinger. Our core target service areas of urban rail construction, urban rail specialised machine maintenance, specialised product solutions and high production rail bound track maintenance machines. Rhomberg Sersa North America has partnered with Remcan Projects, a local leader in the provision of rail construction and maintenance services to develop a unique value proposition for the urban rail projects currently coming to construction. Together we are redefining the way we deliver complete scope of work packages to the Class One railways.
