Founded in 1984, the Community Foundation of Louisville mobilizes people, networks, and capital to spark meaningful change in and beyond Louisville. With over $900 million in assets, over 2,200 charitable funds, and collaborations with hundreds of local partners, we connect philanthropic investments with relevant causes. The Foundation has addressed and continues to address a wide range of community needs. The key priorities of the Foundation’s mission are to remove barriers to accessing capital and resources and to open opportunities for all.

Women’s Foundation California is a statewide public foundation dedicated to achieving gender, racial, and economic justice by centering the experience and expertise of communities most impacted by systemic injustice. We work to invest in, train, and connect community leaders to advance gender, racial, and economic justice. We do this by providing grants to small community-led organizations, training community leaders through the Women’s Policy Institute, and fostering a community of advocates, donors, policymakers, grantmakers, academics and many others through convenings to share knowledge and strengthen the social justice movement in California. Unlike private foundations, which are endowed with funds from a family’s wealth or corporate earnings, community foundations gather their financial contributions from the public — from individuals, families, and businesses who want to support social change. The mission of the Women's Fund of Rhode Island is to invest in women and girls in our community through research, advocacy, grant-making, and strategic partnerships designed to advance gender equity through systemic change. As a social justice organization, our focus is to end gender bias. We envision a community, nation and world where social justice exists for all, and we serve as a catalyst for persuasive, progressive and enduring social change. We believe that investing in women and girls is critical to creating healthy communities. Studies around the world show that when the status of women and girls improves, the status of the community improves overall.
