Revisionary's founder, a 1983 doctoral graduate of The University of Michigan, began to advise graduate researchers in 1986. He has guided more than fifty theses and dissertations at Temple University, where his graduate students learn quickly to reject wordiness, pretense, and unclear expression. Dr. Walters' analysis of ten years worth of student work led to The Readable Thesis: A Guide to Clear and Effective Writing (Avocus Publications, 1999), and to a new teaching method. His subsequent analysis of business writing has led to an extraordinarily effective real-life approach to Revisionary seminars, which he has titled Good Writing: Good Business.
