ReVENT Medical is a privately-held medical device company focused on the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The company has developed minimally invasive, biocompatible implants addressing the non-compliance, efficacy and morbidity issues often associated with current OSA treatments. The implants are inserted in the tongue using a minimally invasive technique and are designed to provide forces sufficient to treat the apneic airway by applying a spring-like force to the tissue. The spring-like force is adequate to maintain an open airway, but small enough not to be noticed by the patient. The implant’s unique features and mode of action makes it a truly non-patient dependent therapy, offering freedom and mobility to OSA patients. The ReVENT Sleep Apnea System has received CE Mark. It is currently not available in the U.S.
