Dogs 4 Disabled Veterans (D4DV) is a non profit organization focused on rescuing abandoned dogs or dogs from shelters and training them for disabled veterans. This organization provides a method for veterans and their families to obtain trained dogs in months instead of years.
There is a need to provide veterans the help, love and affection a dog can bring for recuperation in a timely manner. The waiting list for Service Dogs is about 4 to 7 years. D4DV will rescue shelter dogs appropriate for basic obedience training with the potential to become a Service Dog, Assistance Dog, Companion Dog or Emotional Support Dog.
Nestled in the idyllic North Goan heritage village of Saligao, a 15 minute drive away from Calangute and Baga, and a stone’s throw away from the beautiful Neo-Gothic Mae de Deus catholic church, Villa E'ma is a part of an exclusive community of eight villas, collectively called Casas de Campo, that offer a spectacular view of gleaming rice paddy fields and hills.
It’s the real ‘sossegado’ life here – quiet, laid back and enjoyable just as the locals love it.
