At Restrain, we develop innovative, natural solutions for post-harvest crop management. Our unique generator converts ethanol into ethylene gas, offering eco-friendly sprout control for potatoes and onions. We also provide seed potato treatments that enhance stem count, boost marketable yield, and ensure uniform size distribution. In addition, we offer ripening solutions for tomatoes. Our story begins in 1999, when we set out to find a safe, effective way to prevent sprouting in potatoes. Our research lead us to conducting trials with ethylene which were so successful the Restrain company was born. Since this time the Restrain system has been used to treat more than one million tonnes of seed, table and processing potatoes in 36 countries worldwide. Restrain is the natural replacement for CIPC in potato stores.
