Resources Coalition is made up of many people with different concerns and views. We exchange views and ask honest questions, which government could take a lesson from. The one thing I can say is when it's necessary to act we will be there and be in the forefront. 2003 should be a very interesting year. State government is reeling from lack of funds and we are at the same time planning a more active role in helping Northwest ecology. There is much the private sector can do, and Resources Coalition will be pointing the way to give a helping hand to Fish & Wildlife. I would stress that it's time for any user of resources to do more and to work together. Through reasonable gatherings, such as DEF rallies and other events, we can build unity and direction. Ultimately if the regulators can't see the benefits we will use the courts or other means to get a fair and balanced approach to the use of our natural resources. So as we start 2003 with the exchange of ideas and clarification of views, we seek the best approach to common goals. The most important is to come together and work for the greater good, each offering our best positive elements to the mix. I for one will offer everything I can to get the job done for all land use users and for private property rights.
