Resource Resolutions is a new venture dedicated to the resolution of conflict and division associated with the development of minerals, energy and other resources around the world. The world’s natural resource requirements are expanding to address pressing developmental and environmental needs, including the transition to a low-carbon world. However, societal and geopolitical divisions around resources are mounting, posing profound risks to communities, companies and countries. Backed by senior figures in industry and others, Resource Resolutions will establish itself as an independent and trusted intermediary for companies, communities and host governments trapped in disagreement and dispute. Our main goal will be to foster dialogue between them and enable them to identify and agree sustainable ways forward for all the parties. In this way, we hope to contribute to the emergence of greater mutual understanding and collaboration around natural resources, resolving conflict, and supporting a just and sustainable energy transition.
