ReSource is a battery materials traceability platform founded in 2019 by Glencore, ERG, and CMOC, three of the world's largest mining companies, with support from Umicore, RMI, and the Cobalt Institute. The platform gives OEMs and battery manufacturers end-to-end visibility of their supply chain, tracing the physical flow of critical minerals, cobalt, nickel, lithium, and graphite, from mine to cell. Chain of custody is recorded for every shipment, so the data behind each compliance declaration is tied to real material flows, not estimates. With EU Battery Regulation deadlines approaching, including mandatory battery passports for EV, LMT, and industrial batteries from February 2027, and due diligence obligations under Article 39 already in motion, having audit-ready data across your supply chain is what compliance actually requires. ReSource consolidates ESG documentation, flags gaps, and issues battery passports built on primary data from the source. In 2022, together with the Global Battery Alliance and Tesla, ReSource launched the world's first battery passport, presented at the World Economic Forum. Today, more than 60% of global nickel and cobalt production runs through the platform.
