Resilience Information

Resilience is Chicago’s only stand‑alone rape crisis center, providing more than 50 years of survivor‑centered advocacy, healing, and education. We work to end rape culture by empowering survivors, advancing policy and systems change, and delivering trauma‑informed services across the region. Through our presence in Chicago‑area emergency rooms, we offer nonjudgmental emotional support, legal and medical information, and referrals that help survivors make informed decisions in moments of crisis. We partner with the Chicago Police Department, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and other institutions to improve how survivors are treated across the region. Our prevention education programs—including collaborations with Chicago Public Schools and professional trainings—aim to stop sexual violence before it occurs. Education is essential to advancing our vision of a world free from sexual violence.
