Renewables East Information

Renewables East was originally created in 2003 to serve as the regional renewable energy agency for the East of England. As a not-for-profit company it was tasked with increasing knowledge and understanding and encouraging the uptake of renewable energy in the region. As well as managing a number of funded projects and programmes, running regional and national events, this work included supporting and encouraging the networking of its 200+ company members. After funding from the East of England Development Agency ended in 2011, Renewables East continued as a self-sustaining, not-for-profit organisation specialising in the management of innovative programmes that focus on renewable energy and resource efficiency before closing in 2014.
