Renapta was founded in 2010 by Relitech, a provider of solutions in measurement technology, and MedSciences Capital, an investment fund in the medical life sciences field. The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation and the Dutch Province of Gelderland provide additional financial support in the form of a grant. Henk van Middendorp has served as Renapta's CEO since inception in 2010. Having been active in the medical technology field for 30 years, his experience spans the successful design, execution and management of many projects in collaboration with both national and international clients and partners. Products developed under his leadership include various cardiopulmonary exercise products including 12 lead ECG (Oxycon Pro, Oxycon Mobile, Masterscreen CPX). Henk obtained a B.Sc. degree from the engineering College in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
