Reiki Home Information

The Reiki Foundation International (RFI) was founded in May 1997 as a non profit public benefit corporation (501 C3) in the State of Oregon, USA. Phyllis Lei Furumoto, the recognized lineage bearer for Usui Shiki Ryoho, had the vision of a non profit group who would serve as a bridge between the system, as an entity, and the public including the world wide Reiki community. For thirteen years the focus of the RFI board has been to hold the intention of support for the Reiki community, for the Lineage Bearer, and the system, Usui Shiki Ryoho. Since August 2010, the RFI Board members made a choice to step out into the spotlight and become the corporation that will gather and manage the energetic assets of the system. This includes the purchase and management of what is now being called the Reiki Home and Retreat project.
