Regional Imaging has provided quality, onsite, comprehensive, radiological services in both Private and Public hospitals across three States of Australia for more than ten years. Regional Imaging specialises in bringing high end radiology service to regional and provincial centres. Many of the precursor radiology practices that joined to form Regional Imaging have been in operation in their locations for more than 30 years. In 2001, four large provincial radiology practices, Riverina Medical Imaging Group, Border Medical Imaging, Gippsland Diagnostic Services and Northern Imaging Group joined together to form Regional Imaging. These were like minded practices, with locally resident radiologists offering comprehensive medical imaging services to both local Public and Private sectors. In 2004, RIL became a wholly owned subsidiary of the I-MED Network, Australia's largest diagnostic imaging provider. In 2012, Regional Imaging took over the management of Northern Territory Medical Imaging (NTMI) and now has five discrete regional campuses operating in Southern NSW, North East Victoria, Gippsland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Regional Imaging has a total of 32 clinics, more than 540 administrative and health professional staff and 60 radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists.
