re:gen is a regenerative design laboratory and academy dedicated to design resilient ecosystems and bioregions at scale across climate zones, which produce food, store carbon, and restore water cycles. Our work merges decades of field experience in complex agroforestry, restoration, and food forest systems across diverse climatic zones with advanced AI-driven analysis and planning methods. This allows us to translate ecological complexity into actionable, successional 4D designs that integrate spatial, temporal, and biological dynamics. By combining local site data with deep botanical and ecosystem knowledge, we develop precise planting, biomass, and management strategies. Our methodology identifies functional plant communities and climate-resilient production systems tailored to specific soil, water, and microclimate conditions. We facilitate the transformation of degraded areas into productive, carbon-sequestering landscapes, creating nature-based infrastructure that fosters biodiversity, secures food systems, and enhances water retention. Through regenerative land intelligence, we turn ecological recovery into natural capital restoration, delivering long-term environmental and economic value. Grounded in a regenerative system design approach, our methodology directly addresses global challenges such as desertification, flooding, biodiversity loss and food security.
