Action for Carers Surrey provides advice, information, advocacy and support to carers of all ages, across Surrey. Our help covers practical, legal, financial and emotional matters, and we aim to support the 120,000+ carers who live in the county. Our support includes tailored services: Surrey Young Carers (for those under 18); staff working in Surrey's main hospitals to help carers there; and specialised support in Moving and Handling. A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who - due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction - cannot cope without their support. Community Matters Partnership (CMP) is a dynamic social enterprise helping companies to give back through organised corporate volunteering and fundraising events. We do this through: 1) Corporate Volunteering days in local schools, charities and community groups, helping businesses to develop their community engagement strategies. We understand that giving back is time-consuming and so here at CMP we make it as easy as possible for your business to get involved. 2) Fundraising: We help local charities and schools to raise money for their cause by funding and running an annual Twilight Runway Challenge. 3) Community Minds: a fantastic way to network with like minded people, and CMP offer Members access to events where you can share ideas, develop your thinking and make contacts with other companies of similar sizes.
