Inaugurada em 1954, a Refit nasceu para ajudar o Brasil a escrever sua história de sucesso no mercado de petróleo. Atuando há mais de 60 anos no refino de petróleos, a empresa é a única refinaria privada no país dedicada à produção de Gasolina A. Instalada em uma área de cerca de 600 mil metros quadrados e com um diferencial logístico importante, a empresa está localizada às margens da Avenida Brasil, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. A Refinaria mantém um dos maiores parques de armazenagem de líquidos do país, com capacidade superior a 200 milhões de litros. Atualmente, a Refit vive um momento singular em sua história, com a realização de aportes para a completa modernização de suas instalações e para o aprimoramento de suas práticas de governança corporativa. Frente a este novo cenário, a empresa investiu nos últimos anos mais de 200 milhões de reais na modernização da sua planta de refino e de seu parque de armazenagem, e tem em andamento projetos que envolvem investimentos superiores a 300 milhões de reais nos próximos 5 anos. Hoje, a Refit trabalha 100% focada na produção de Gasolina A, gerando aproximadamente 55 milhões de litros do produto por mês e abastecendo, por meio da distribuidora de combustíveis Fit, os principais postos de Bandeira Branca dos estados do Rio de Janeiro e de São Paulo. Need to change a convenience outlet or repair a light fixture? one of the first steps is to turn off the electricity to that device. Sometimes you are alone or the circuit panel is too far from the device you want to repair. When this is the case, use this simple trick: Plug the device into the outlet you want to replace. Then, move the device close enough to the circuit panel so you can hear it (use an extension cord if necessary). Now, turn off the circuit breaker you "think" is the right one for that plug and see if the radio or vacuum cleaner stops. If not, try another until you have located the correct outlet. It isn't rocket science, but it is a simple and effective way to make sure you have turned off the right circuit breaker. Kitchen and bathroom receptacles are often protected with a special circuit called a GFCI circuit. This circuit is intended to prevent electrical shock in areas that are more likely to have water present (ie Kitchens and Baths). It is worth noting that water isn't related directly to the circuit. Some people are under the misconception that a GFCI circuit only prevents you from being shocked in water. This is not the case. While the GFCI circuit is a great enhancement to safety, they can sometimes make you think you have an electrical problem when really you don't. If you have suddenly lost power to the plugs in your kitchen or bathroom, your problem may be as simple as resetting the GFCI circuit in one of the outlets.
