Redthorne was an entertainment company backed by leaders in Hollywood, Cable TV, and advertising. Our mission was to accelerate the evolution of TV from a broadcasting model to a personalized TV viewing experience. The team built new video streaming technology and user experiences in an early era of OTT and was lead through multiple rounds of venture funding. Redthorne also did business under the name AST. The company is no longer in active development as of 2014 and the team has gone on to build and design experiences at Red Bull, Hulu, OpenX, and beyond.
