The REDS Team has moved to a new location at 471 Patriot Drive, off highway 64, between Raleigh and Knightdale. Our station is now located at the Progress Energy Milburnie Substation. We thank them for their support of our Team. Our team office is still located at 1140 Benson Road, in Garner. Our move was instigated by the politics of the local Garner Town government. It appeared that the building where we were located for over 14 years was more important to be used for cultural arts than to house a rescue team. We do have a larger area which should be better for the team in the long run. Never underestimate local politics and the way they do business. See more info on the move on our website. The Team has completely re-worked our extrication trailer to make it more user friendly. We have added several new Bosch 36V cordless reciprocating saws and some top notch new Bosch demolition blades. The trailer has 2 sets of ResQ Jacks for teaching stabilization as well ResQTec airbags and hydraulics, a multitude of hand tools and air tools. Pictures can be seen under our collapse and extrication section. We have also completely re-done our dive trailer with cabinets to hold all the dive gear and equipment which also includes a drying rack with a fan driven heater. The wetsuit rack and BCD rack are also designed with drain pans so water can drain out if the suits or BCDs are hung back up wet. We should have one of our new boat trailers ready by May as well as hoping to have our newer operations truck fully online in the late Spring. We have had several new folks come out that are interested in joining our team and we are always looking for new folks that have the commitment to learn and want to gain knowledge in technical rescue operations.
