In 1986, Harpoon co- founders Rich Doyle and Dan Kenary began brewing Harpoon in Boston to share with others the joy of making—and drinking—great beer. In 2000, we added a second brewery in Windsor, VT to keep up with the demand. We are passionate about our company and our beer, and we work each day together to create great beer drinking experiences. This passion has resulted in many changes throughout the years including our most recent announcement in August of 2014 to become an employee owned company. Though many things have changed since the early days of Harpoon, most things have stayed the same. We still love brewing beer and find that we enjoy it more when shared with friends.
Harpoon has over 300 employees who understand that making great beer fun can be more challenging – and more rewarding - than it seems. We do things a bit differently here; different from other companies in general and different from most of our fellow brewers. Different in this case does not mean more complex or harder to understand. Because we also believe in being simple and straightforward. We have a very short list of ‘philosophies’ that underline how we run our business:
• Treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves.
• Work like an owner and think like a customer.
• Make great beer and revel in it or as we say to the rest of the world: Love Beer. Love Life.
We love the beer we brew, and we love drinking it together. We’re looking for people who share a commitment to excellence and a sense of humor to join our growing team.
Two Roads Brewing Company was founded in 2012 by four friends who dreamed for years of starting a craft brewery. We foster a “road less traveled” philosophy in the beers we make and how we make them. In that spirit, Phil Markowski, our award-winning Brewmaster and 27 year craft beer veteran has created an extensive lineup that takes a unique twist on classic beer styles. Two Roads was named one of the ten best breweries in America by Paste Magazine and has won many awards including gold for Belgian Lambic style Ale in 2016 at the Great American Beer Festival.
Two Roads isn’t just the logo on our brewery building, it’s our philosophy. Life always seems to offer up two ways to go. It just so happens, we prefer the one less taken and having some fun along the way – in our lives, our careers and especially for our beers! Now our “road less traveled” philosophy is being brought to life in the beers that we create and how we create them.

in 2011, we left college with a killer recipe for hard cider. we wanted to remind people of the way that cider should be. fresh, unfiltered, delicious.
we aren't beginners anymore, but the idea behind our cider and our business remains the same. we've gone from a dorm room to a 16,500 ft cider house in the east boston shipyard with the best team in the city and a characterful taproom.
today, you can find us across new england, and we've expanded into new york, new jersey, pennsylvania, dc, virginia, ohio, and wisconsin, minnesota, indiana & colorado with no signs of slowing down.
our employees are unfiltered, talented and awesome. they kick ass when it's time to get to work and throw down at company parties.
we’re on the path to win the game, you might as well join us. get in touch.
