RedBird X is RedBird Capital Partners' proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI) business, an innovation engine powered by a team of world-class AI engineers. Its mission is to incubate, build, scale, and commercialize AI companies and applications in RedBird's sectors of focus: media & entertainment, sports, and financial services. Its core focus spans 3 areas: incubating AI companies (venture studio), creating products and deploying AI across RedBird portfolio companies, and making non-control AI investments, complementing and amplifying RedBird's investment strategies. An example of RedBird X's incubation approach is InterPositive: a filmmaking technology company that develops AI-powered tools built by and for filmmakers that empower storytellers and keep creative decisions in the hands of artists. From Day One, RedBird X helped build the company’s foundation by developing the first models trained on proprietary data, hiring the founding engineering team, securing GPUs, and partnering closely across the organization to help set the strategy. The company was sold to Netflix on March 2025, 14 months after its inception. The company’s early success is attributable to our core philosophy of bringing together industry experts with cutting-edge technology to solve problems.
