RED January is a nationwide public health movement, empowering people to move every day in January to support their own mental wellbeing, and raise funds to help others. Its success is demonstrated by research from the University of Oxford, which showed that more than half of participants experienced a significant improvement in happiness and a reduction in anxiety, with 74% reporting being more active than usual during the month. People can register for RED January for free and set a personal movement challenge for the month at redjanuary.com. You can participate as an individual, or with friends, family or colleagues as a team, to take on the challenge and help to continue to deliver real change in UK communities by adding to the millions of pounds already raised for mental health charities.
