Red Bus Recording Studios began its long and prestigious history back in 1978 by co-founding members Eliot Cohen, Ellis Elias and Leslie Grade. Having earned enormous successes earlier in the management of artists such as Mungo Jerry, as well as the running of the renowned Hollywood Music Festival in 1970 where 40,000 fans attended, Eliot, Ellis and Leslie looked to offer a space for artists to record their music. Taking them into a world of drum machines, synthesizers, sampling and hi-tech recording technology. It quickly developed into one of the best known and best loved recording studios in London, opening its doors to a wealth of recording talent. Having worked with some of the world’s most celebrated artists and producers including Oliver Cheatham, Imagination, Tina Turner and Joe Dolan to name a few, the combination of its engineering excellence and range of unrivalled equipment has brought Red Bus Recording Studios to the heart of the music industry for over 40 years. Today it continues to strive, founding its sister music publishing company Associated Music International Ltd. and establishing some of the best names in music this decade. All of Red Bus Recordings are preserved in the group’s archive, containing some of the most significant original analogue recordings to date. Red Bus’s friendly staff and unrivalled reputation show that the red bus ‘vibe’ still prevails.
