We teach the Classical Pilates with some of the best contemporary variations all informed by current medical research and science with a functional approach to the body and body mechanics. EDUCATION. COMMUNITY. MENTORSHIP Our teacher training program was born organically from the request and need of high integrity, educated and professional teachers. Our goal is to help you grow personally and professionally in your Pilates career. The 600-hour program includes Foundations, our signature module. This module covers the history of Pilates, Pilates anatomy, common pathologies and how to handle them, postural alignment protocols, our six building blocks of all of the Pilates exercises, professionalism, ethics, study best practices and information on the practicum and final certification through the Pilates Method Alliance. We then work our way through classical Pilates from mat work, to reformer and all of the apparatus. Each student is required to pass a practicum at the end of their study in order to receive a certificate of completion. All of our students are then qualified to take the Pilates Method Alliance, Certified Pilates Teacher exam. 600 Hour Comprehensive Program Classical Pilates Teacher Training Registration is open Nine modules Foundations Mat I and Mat II Reformer I, II and III Apparatus I, II and III Spiral bound manuals included Study groups Observation hours (200) Student teaching hours (200) Practice hours (200) Ethics and professionalism A classical program including contemporary variations and current scientific research. The Anatomy Trail Guide is a valuable anatomy text and can assist a beginner teacher in recognizing and recruiting particular muscles and muscle groups. The Pilates Method Alliance study guide is helpful as you get closer to taking your PMA CPT exam. Anatomy: If students have not completed Anatomy and Physiology I & II at a college level or the equivalent, completion of this education is required. Most of our students who have not already completed such course work take A&P I & II while also enrolled in our program. Most local community colleges offer these courses. PMA CPT: Our program more than qualifies our graduates to take the Pilates Method Alliance exam to become a Certified Pilates Teacher. Practicum: At the completion of our nine modules, six hundred hours of personal practice, observation and student teaching and anatomy coursework our students are then qualified to take our practical exam.
