Since 1981, Realfio has developed and supplied sewing, embroidery and footwear threads for the apparel, footwear, embroidery, home textiles, denim, outdoor, automotive and technical textiles sectors. The company holds the largest share of its market in Portugal, a position consolidated through more than four decades of industrial experience and trusted relationships. At its facilities in Guimarães, vertically integrated production brings together research and development, a colour laboratory, in-house dyeing, winding, quality control, packaging and logistics. This structure strengthens process control and consistency, enables flexibility and supports the development of solutions tailored to different materials, applications and production requirements. The portfolio includes threads made from natural, synthetic and cellulosic fibres, as well as recycled and organic options, where applicable. Sustainability is approached with technical rigour, considering composition, application, performance and supporting documentation. Throughout its history, Realfio has built partnerships with leading Portuguese companies. Through these supply chains, Realfio® threads are used in products manufactured for internationally recognised brands that value the quality and industrial expertise associated with Made in Portugal. The commitment to customers and other stakeholders is supported by an ISO 9001-certified quality management system, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100-certified solutions made with GRS-certified recycled materials, where applicable, as well as audits against minimum requirements defined by customers and brands.
