La società è stata fondata nel 1999 come Pro Calcio Studentesca Rieti e solo nel 2008 ha assunto la denominazione Real Rieti Calcio a 5. Al termine della stagione 2008-09 viene ripescata nel campionato nazionale di Serie B e nella stagione 2010-11 riesce a conquistare la promozione in Serie A, entrando così nell'olimpo del futsal. La prossima stagione sportiva (2020/2021) sarà la decima consecutiva nella massima serie nazionale. In bacheca 1 Coppa Divisione e 1 Winter Cup.
