REaL Learning Information

The Blackstone Valley Education Foundation (BVEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999 to enrich education by forging strong connections between school districts, local businesses, and community partners. Originally a subcommittee of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, BVEF has since evolved into an independent nonprofit dedicated to career-connected learning, workforce development, and leadership training for students across 15 member school districts in the Blackstone Valley region of Worcester County. Based in Whitinsville, MA, BVEF works to provide students with early career exposure, hands-on learning experiences, mentorship opportunities, and leadership development programs. Our vision is to transform education to prepare students for the workforce and careers of tomorrow. We do this by integrating real-world problem-solving, employability skills, and industry partnerships into the learning process, ensuring that students are equipped to navigate their future careers with confidence. BVEF continues to expand while honoring its original mission to enrich education by connecting member schools with local businesses to prepare students for the workforce. With an initial focus of primarily awarding small grants to schools, today BVEF’s 15 member and affiliate member school districts benefit from more extensive programming and services thanks to the strong partnerships we have with local businesses.
