“We are USRowing, fostering community, cultivating excellence and developing Olympic Champions.” USRowing is a nonprofit membership organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States. USRowing selects, trains and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition including the world championships, Pan American Games and Olympics. More than 77,00 individuals and 1,400 organizations strong, USRowing serves and promotes the sport on all levels of competition. USRowing membership reflects the spectrum of American rowers – juniors, collegians, masters and those who row for recreation, competition or fitness.

WaterRower Inc. designs and manufactures superb indoor rowing simulators for both private and commercial use. The WaterRower Inc. was originally designed in 1988 by John Duke, the inventor of WaterRower's unique WaterFlywheel. The original offices and workshops were and continue to be based in based in Rhode Island, in the small coastal town of Warren. WaterRower (UK) Ltd was formed in 1991 to market and distribute the WaterRower throughout Europe under license to WaterRower Inc. Initially the company had offices in Fulham in London. A 1993 agreement provided WaterRower (UK) Ltd with the additional right to manufacture the WaterRower, under license, for Europe. Workshops were established in the idyllic stately home of the Earl and Countess of Sandwich, Mapperton Manor. In 1995, the company consolidated its offices and workshop under one roof, in Ravenscourt Park in West London, which remain to be the European Headquarters to this day. Rowing has long been recognized as the perfect aerobic sport. It has historically been pastime of only the privileged few. British Rowing, as the governing body for the sport, is responsible for the development of rowing in England and the training and selection of rowers to represent Great Britain. Rowing has a proud history as one of GB’s most successful Olympic sports producing World, Olympic and Paralympic Champions from across the UK. The squad is supported by the National Lottery Sports Fund.
