READ is a tech startup that focuses on the financial health of households. We have developed a financial health rating system and a consumption-based lifetime income product. FOUNDING IDEA: Our journey started with the desire to find a sustainable solution for student debt ridden Millennials in the US. We recognized that student debt is only a symptom of a more systemic problem of wealth concentration and its spillover effects. OUR VIEW: Households are in aggregate being the prominent driver of the economy. The increasing disparity in wealth impacts capital access, capital pricing and also the financial health. The financial fragility of an increasing number of households ultimately backfires on the broader economy and needs to be addressed. OUR GOAL: We believe that a thriving and resilient economy is centered around the financial health of households. Our aim is to offer solutions which measure and improve financial health under consideration of the opportunities and challenges of the 4th industrial revolution.
