Apple, Turkish Airlines, Mavi, Tchibo, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Alstom. RDB has worked out of Istanbul since 2003, with a London branch opened in 2005. We won the Turkish Airlines account three times in open pitch, placing first each time. The first was against 48 agencies. We held it for eight years, through the period in which the network grew from 142 destinations to 287, and worked across the group: Turkish Cargo, TGS, Do&Co, Miles&Smiles. At Turkish Airlines the answer was not an advertisement. We proposed Touristanbul, a free city tour for passengers in transit. It still runs today. At Mavi it was a t-shirt, which sold for twelve seasons and then became the Istanbul campaign. At Alstom the work was the Marmaray train itself. At Little Caesars it was the store network, which grew from 13 to 100. At Bio City we were the advertising agency, and then won the landscape architecture tender against specialist firms. That last one is the whole point. Most suppliers answer a brand problem in the medium they already sell. We decide what the answer should be first, and then we make it. Making it is the part most people cannot do. The work goes out through manufacturers we have worked with for twenty years, in textile, furniture, print, retail fixtures, sound and film.
