Raylight Games Information

Raylight Games is an Italian video game development studio founded in 2000, based in Benevento and Naples. For over 25 years, we have combined game production, engineering and proprietary technology to deliver games across multiple generations of platforms, from Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS and PSP to modern consoles and PC. Our technical roots go back to BlueRoses, the proprietary engine we began developing in 2001 for Game Boy Advance. It powered Wing Commander: Prophecy and enabled our Resident Evil 2 GBA technical demo: a playable proof of concept that recreated a demanding 3D survival-horror experience on remarkably limited hardware. Although never commercially released, the prototype attracted international attention and led to discussions with Capcom. Today, we support publishers and developers on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam. Our services include game development, multiplatform porting, performance optimization, QA, platform compliance, certification and submission management. A key specialization is porting games built with custom and proprietary engines, not just Unreal Engine or Unity. We work with existing codebases, tools and pipelines to adapt games and underlying technology to new hardware architectures, tackle platform-specific challenges and preserve the original gameplay experience. We also work with Unreal Engine and Unity. Beyond games, Raylight Games has developed professional modeling, rigging and animation tools for Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya, used by artists and development teams worldwide. From early technical assessment to certification and release, we combine hands-on development expertise with decades of production experience to help partners bring their games to new platforms and audiences.
