RAW Workshop Information

We are a social enterprise located in Oxford helping the disadvantaged to gain confidence in the workplace and to develop their skills. We teach our employee's the art of woodwork and they go on to learn the skills to create their own masterpieces. We extend our support and teachings to anyone who may need it. Our workshop has trained the homeless, refugees, people with mental and physical disabilities and ex-offenders. We aim to change the perception of these people, not by pointing out their challenges but to show the world what they can make. With a flexible working environment, our employees work with us until they feel comfortable moving onto the next challenge in their life. We create handmade, high-quality wooden furniture pieces which can be bought from our online shop or at our showroom in Blackbird Leys, Oxford. As well as our beautiful wooden furniture we can create bespoke pieces ranging from bird boxes to picnic tables. We also offer a wood recycling/collection service and sell reclaimed timber. We work with many corporate, education, local government and private customers if you can think it we can create it. We are a small charity and your support goes a long way. You can get involved by purchasing some of our products as profits go back into our training scheme or get in touch to find out about our volunteering opportunities. Our mission is simple – to help people become Exceptional rather than being the Exception and to build a social business that thrives on merit, not sympathy.
