A letter from our Founder and CEO, Miranda Kerr:“When I was 16, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I started to take a closer look at what I was putting in and on my body. Over the years, I found there wasn’t anyone creating certified organic and effective skincare and in 2009, I decided to make my own. After three years of partnering with some of the best chemists in the natural space, I launched a range of skincare that followed both the strictest global standards of safety and the highest levels of clinical performance for healthy, glowing skin. The endota spa story began in 2000 when Founder and CEO Melanie Gleeson pursued a hunch that relaxation and mindfulness would become more important in peoples’ lives. Eco Tan | Eco Tan by Sonya Driver is Australia's First Certified Organic, Tanning, Skincare, Body Care and Natural Makeup Range. Eco Tan was born out of a personal journey to find a safer, healthier alternative to traditional tanning products. Founder Sonya Driver became determined to create a solution after her sister Rachael was diagnosed with melanoma at just 30 years old. With no organic self-tanning options available, Sonya was alarmed by the potential health risks associated with conventional products — especially in the context of Rachael's deep scar from surgery. "I became consumed with finding a safe tanning alternative after my sister’s diagnosis. Not only was there no certified organic option, but I was shocked to discover the harmful ingredients in many products on the market. I was deeply concerned about what we were putting on our skin — especially when it came to Rachael’s sensitive scar," says Sonya Driver, Founder. Driven by this urgency, Sonya set out to develop a range of tanning and body care products that were both effective and free from toxic chemicals. The result was Eco Tan, a pioneering line of certified organic products that now includes tanning, skincare, body care, and natural makeup. Alongside Eco Tan, Sonya created Eco by Sonya Driver, her own line of organic body care products that align with her commitment to transparency, sustainability, and the health of our skin. "I wasn’t willing to use these products on my own skin, and I certainly wasn’t prepared to risk my sister’s health," Sonya reflects.
