Rarefied Recording Information

Rarefied Recording is a professionally designed, built, and equipped recording studio in the hip North Park area of San Diego, CA. Services include: Tracking Mixing Mastering Podcast recording Audiobook recording ADR Film and photoshoots Roy Silverstein is the owner and Chief Engineer. Rarefied is also available to qualified guest engineers with Roy falling back to an assistant role. The studio was designed by the amazing architect, Wes Lachot, and is equipped with a plethora of incredible equipment including a 32 channel Neve Genesys console. Both digital and analog recording options are available (Apogee converters and an MCI JH16 2" 16 track). Mics include vintage Neumann tube mics, vintage RCA ribbon mics, and a host of other classics. Many instruments are also available including a baby grand piano, Hammond organ (with Leslie), Fender Rhodes, and a Wurlitzer.
